Pretzel Therapeutics is seeking a highly skilled scientist with a background in mammalian cell culture and iPSC research to join our team and contribute to our cutting-edge projects focused on developing new therapies for mitochondrial diseases.

Who are you?
As an iPSC Scientist at Pretzel Therapeutics, you will have extensive experience in iPSC research, including experience in generating and characterizing iPSC lines and using them to study various aspects of disease and development. You should have a strong publication record and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. A PhD in a related field is required.
Your role
As an iPSC Scientist at Pretzel Therapeutics, you will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to exciting projects focused on developing new therapies for mitochondrial diseases using iPSC techniques. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Generation and cultivation of human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) through reprogramming techniques
- Maintaining and expanding iPSC lines and differentiating them into relevant cell types for functional and genomic characterization
- Design and execute new, advanced technologies for cellular assays that are relevant to disease and suitable for high-throughput screening (HTS).
- Performing data collection, analysis, interpretation, and experimental design
- Executing, troubleshooting, and communicating tasks independently and effectively
- Maintaining extremely organized and accurate records using an ELN/LIMS
- Providing regular feedback at inter-team meetings and presenting at team and organization-wide lab meetings
- Training other team members on relevant lab skills and techniques
You will work with a team of highly experienced scientists located in the USA and Sweden, so good collaboration and communication skills are important. Extensive cell culture experience with directed differentiation of iPSCs and 3D co-culturing is a must. Previous experience with neural stem cell and neurons is a plus. Occasional, planned travel within Europe may be required for learning and training purposes. Infrequent, planned travel to the United States is a plus.
